The Reality Of The Apocalypse

Long story short, it's not as long as you might think. If you take the undead as just that, then it should be clearer to see that the undead apocalypse would not take years to end. The classic zombie is a reanimated corpse that gets up and kills humans. They decay just like corpses do and will keep going as long as they have a brain. Well it only takes about 20-50 days for a human to decompose. If a zombie were to be reanimated at midnight on December 31st, it would decompose to a useless form (even for a zombie) somewhere in between January 20th and March 1st or 2nd depending on if it's a leap year. With these numbers it means that the first outbreak would last about a year. The rest would consist of lone survivors or communities that were too weak or too stupid to watch those who are sick and dying and put them down if they do rise. The new world would be a fearful one, but it would not take years to reach it. Feel free to comment your opinion or even suggest new posts.
   That's all for now...
